Digital Microscopy Workshop

Microscopy - A Digital Future

Scope of Workshop

Motic Microscope with Camera

Traditionally, an image in a microscope is an isolated static display - visible to one person at one instant. Now we can capture, save, analyze and incorporate the image into other presentation media.

It is no longer a mere image - It is knowledge

Digital technology allows us to teach individuals or small groups through to larger groups and even "inter-school" classes.

In the workshop we will cover image acquisition from biological and dissection microscopes, using digital cameras with easy to use intuitive software designed for the young enquiring mind. We also introduce an interactive digital microscopy system that allows the teacher and students to share information without leaving their seats. Topics covered will be Image Capture, Video Capture, Measurement, Annotation, Reporting and more.

Motic Images Plus 2 Software

This mode of teaching enhances and accelerates the development of microscopy skills in what is traditionally a very isolated individual process. It provides a new learning experience in an exciting and engaging communicative medium.

You are cordially invited to attend this presentation - see details below.
